Meet AGON at University
Welcoming students back to university in March, AOC was very pleased to participate in the O-week & LAN parties in three top Australian universities, with our latest AGON Gaming Monitors!
Launch Party has traditionally been a university society's flagship event to attract membership. This year, there were around 100 attendees at the UNSW LoLsoc LAN party. AGON AG241QX monitors were used as part of a 1v1 Tournament. While the tournament was being played, many members crowded around the players to watch.
This event drew a substantial crowd, with many opportunities for exhibiting the AOC AGON brand.
AOC started cooperating with Macquarie University Gaming Society in 2016. As the major sponsor, AOC became the main monitor brand of the MQ Gaming Society.
This year, more than 150 attended the LAN party, and the main tournaments that occurred were League of Legends, DOTA, Overwatch and CS:GO. AGON monitors including AG322FCX and AG271QG were used as the stream monitor and received lots of positive feedback.
Monash Arcade Expo is a Video Game Hub Event with live and arcade gaming organized by Board Games. Approximately 1,180 students came through during the event.
The latest AOC monitors, including AG352QCX, AG251FZ and U2777PQU were displayed on the main stage, with AGON AG271QX monitors on the marquee stage for the LoL tournament.
We ran a social media competition during the Monash University Arcade Expo: participants took selfies with AOC banners and posted the photos on Twitter to win AGON gift bags and an AOC G2778VQ monitor. More than 70 people entered the contest.
Participating in University events helps to grow the AOC AGON brand among young gamers. The success of these three events is just the beginning of our campaign to target the youth market.
